No. Scan the host’s QR code, type a name, and the camera opens right in your browser. No app, no account, nothing to install.
How does the “roll” work?+
The host gives each guest a set number of shots. Like a real disposable camera, once your roll is used up it’s done — which is what makes everyone take their shots thoughtfully instead of spraying a hundred photos.
When will I see the photos?+
It depends how the host set it up. Some events reveal instantly — every photo lands in the shared gallery the moment it’s taken. Others stay locked until a reveal moment, when everyone’s photos drop into the gallery at once.
Can I peek at the photos before the reveal?+
Not on a locked event. Until the host reveals, every roll stays private — that’s the whole magic: nobody’s glued to a feed, everyone’s just in the moment until the gallery drops together.
How do I get the gallery afterward?+
Revisit the same event link anytime. And if you leave your email when you join, we’ll email you the gallery the moment the host reveals it.
Can I take videos?+
Not yet — Candid is photos only for now. Video is on the way.
Is my photo private?+
Photos belong to the event and aren’t public. You can optionally let the host feature your shots in future highlights — it’s off by default, and shooting works either way.
What phone do I need?+
Any phone with a web browser — iPhone or Android. Just scan and shoot.
